We offer a large catalog of homes, log cabins and pole barns that are completely customizable to fit your residential, commercial or agricultural needs and function. Horst Custom Homes is dedicated to building beautiful quality buildings and homes quickly and on budget, with prices starting at $118,000 for custom residential homes. 
Our Journey
It all started with a vision. Jonathan Horst, a man on a mission, teamed up with his father, Jacob Horst, whose prowess in managing paperwork and quotes laid our foundation. Together, they navigated the first year, setting a robust path for growth and success.
In January 2024, our story embraced a new chapter with the arrival of Javin, our Chief Operating Officer. A former owner of a logging company for five years, Javin’s shift from logging to construction was a strategic move influenced by market trends and a passion for building. His extensive experience in business management, coupled with expertise in construction and excavation, makes him an invaluable asset in our operations.

JRH Construction Company, owned by Jonathan Horst, is the construction company / main contractor of each project. Jonathan and Javin will ensure you are satisfied with every step of your project.  JRH Construction is fully ensured and has been in business over 10 years with expertise in roofing, pole barns and home building projects.

Sales / Financials

Meet Jacob Horst, President of Horst Custom Homes. My expertise lies in sales and business finance, but I have had a diverse range of experiences throughout my career. Early on, I worked in carpentry and masonry, and later transitioned to sales in a nursery where I gained experience in landscaping and hardscaping. I also took on short-term jobs in cabinetry, electrical, electronics, and drywall. All of these experiences proved to be valuable when I spent the next 30 years as a dairy farmer alongside my wife, Martha, while raising our family.
Now, I have retired from farming and am excited to be a part of the management and leadership team at Horst Custom Homes, a business that my son Jonathan started in 2022. Our team has recently expanded with a new partner, Javin. Our mission is to continue providing our community with high-quality craftsmanship homes, pole barns and garages, both now and in the future.

Hello! I’m Javin, the Chief Operating Officer at Horst Custom Homes. My journey to where I am today has been one of adaptability, vision, and a strong drive to make a meaningful impact in the construction industry.

My Background

Before joining the Horst family in January 2024, I owned and managed a logging company for five years. This experience was foundational in shaping my approach to business and operations management. The decision to transition from logging to construction was driven by a keen understanding of market dynamics and a passion for building and development.

Joining Horst Family Construction

My move to Horst Family Construction marked a significant shift in my career path. Here, I found an opportunity to combine my skills in business management with my hands-on experience in construction and excavation. As the COO, my role involves overseeing the daily operations of the company, ensuring that each project is executed with precision and excellence.
